IMPRINT: Printmaking Workshop with Elvia Perrin

Experiment with printed layers! This workshop will allow students to play with layering colored inks and learn various printmaking approaches. Students will be provided with a sampler set of precut linocut blocks and etched plates with existing designs that artists can use to create their own finished monoprints. Elvia will teach students how to ink different types of plates and how to print with a press and by hand. Students can utilize the experience of layering material to explore mixed media and realize the possibilities of the printed surface.

Elvia Perrin received her Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Drawing and teaches at the university level. She has worked as a professional collaborator, printer and artist at Flatbed Press + Gallery in Austin, Texas.
